Devil in the Details
Auf der Fahrt hier her hab ich die Battle for the Sun nochmal komplett gehört... sehr geiles Album. Besonders oben erwähnter Song hat es mir sehr angetan...

Überhaupt ein sehr geniales Album. Hab mir ja erstmal, geldbedingt, nur die Simpelversion gekauft, und bin schon da von der Aufmachung extrem angetan. Der Schriftzug 'Placebo - Battle for the Sun' ist auf der Hülle selbst statt auf dem Booklet, nimmt man dieses und die (wunderschön mit Sonnen in verschiedenen Stadien der Finsternis bedruckte) Cd raus, bleibt das Bild also bestehen... Zwar finde ich Brian Molko mit neuer Frisur nicht mehr gaaaanz so geil wie vorher, aber, naja, doch, immer noch nett anzusehen. *g*
Was mir auf dem Album ein bisschen fehlt sind die Gänsehaut-Balladen wie auf der Meds, aber es ist durchaus möglich, dass sich zb Kings of Medicine noch zu einer solchen entwickelt... alles in allem ist das neue Album auffallend positiv - zumindest im direkten Vergleich mit dem ziemlich düsteren Vorgänger -, ohne die morbide, abgefuckte Grundstimmung abgelegt zu haben. Passt recht gut zu meiner Momentanen Situation, das war ja damals bei Meds auch schon der Fall - bin gespannt, was da mit der Zeit noch kommt, hab sie jetzt schon ein paar mal durchgehört und einige Songs mehrfach einzeln gehört, bisher stechen speziell Battle for the Sun, Devil in the Details und Julien für mich heraus, vielleicht tut sich da noch was, ich warte es ab.
...was wollte ich jetzt eigentlich schreiben?! Egal. Placebo hat halt Vorrang. Nur mit dem Konzert wird es dieses Jahr wohl nichts... sehr schade.
